CPS is an open source ECM software that allows the development of enterprise-grade web applications. CPS provides a solid foundation for:

  • Web content management
  • Document management
  • Collaboration
  • Workflow / Business process management
  • Portals

CPS Platform is based on the Zope application server. According to various market analysis published by the Gartner Group, KnowledgeConsult or Markess International, CPS Platform is currently the most complete open source software in its domain.

CPS Platform provides a number of core services such as: a unified document repository, document type management, full text search, versionning, multilingual support, etc. Additional functions are also provided : forum, shared calendar, webmail, interactive chat, newsletters, discussion lists, etc.

Numerous generic or vertical solutions based on CPS have been developed to answer real customers needs. Domains covered are: collaboration extranets/intranets, Internet sites, interest or practice communities, mail management and more specific applications for state agencies such as civil status management.

CPS has also been designed to be accessible. It respects the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) accessibility standards and recommendations, and uses XHTML 1.0 Strict. This accessibility care makes it well fit for administrations and educational portals.

CPS Platform relies on a community of users and contributors both French and international. Many major components of CPS Platform are now taken in charge by our partners who have joined the platform's development process (for example: CPSPortlets, the portlets engine, taken in charge by the University of Chalmers – Sweden).
