CPSMailAccess is a full featured webmail application for CPS3. It provides a flexible web interface to browse and send mails.

Features of the CPSMailAccess include among others:

  • AJAX based mail editor
  • drag'n'drop for mails and folders
  • incoming mails filtering
  • private and public address books
  • etc.

Architecture


CPSMailAccess is built on Five, thus making the Product easily portable to Zope 3. Its architecture also allows to integrate it to any Zope-based platform as its dependencies to CPS3 are close to none and thaught to be easily overriden.

Installation


Installing CPSMailAccess on a CPS Platform is quite easy and its configuration let the manager decide on the portal policy: users can have their own imap configuration or can share a global configuration

Usage


CPSMailAccess has been thaught to be ergonomic. Its user interface is very close to rich mail clients and some features such as folder and mail drag'n'drop makes it intuitive.

Upcoming features


CPSMailAccess uses some third party products like Zemantic for mail cataloging. The Semantic engine let the system make relations between mails and let the user organize its mail list views through semantic search queries results.

A mail-to-document process is also beeing created, to let the user transform a mail into a publishable portal document in one easy step.

Last but not least, CPSMailAccess can work with zasync to provide reliability on big intranet.

These features have not been integrated to the first beta release and will be released into next milestones.
